Teen Marissa Bloomquist started our competition season off Friday night with a Platinum for her tap solo Mr. Sandman.  She was also awarded an Outstanding Execution award and an Outstanding Style award.

Saturday’s competition was equally successful with the following GROUP results:

Mini jazz group “Clap Snap” was awarded a Gold, 3rd place overall in small groups and the Super Smiles award.

Junior tap group “Forget You” was awarded a High Gold, 1st in tap category and Outstanding Expression award.

Teen lyrical small production “You Will Be Found” was awarded a Platinum, nominated for Critic’s Choice Judges award, Outstanding Staging award, Interpretation award and Outstanding Concept award.

Teen contemporary small production “Rogue River” was awarded a Platinum, 4th overall in contemporary groups, nominated for Critic’s Choice Judges award,  Outstanding Staging award, Outstanding Powerful award, and Outstanding Intensity award.

Senior SOLO results:

“Hold On” performed by Lindsay Abell received a Platinum, 2nd overall in senior solo, Outstanding Choreography award, Outstanding Execution award and Outstanding Style award.

“Broken” by Rose Goltz received a Platinum, Outstanding Interpretation award, and Outstanding Commitment and Focus award.

“Twice” by Paige Meyers received a High Gold, Outstanding Interpretation award and Outstanding Execution award.

“Rescue My Heart” by Sarah McCrackin received a Platinum, Outstanding Interpretation award and Outstanding Execution award.

“They’re Not Waving” by Danielle Weller received a High Gold Award and Outstanding Execution award.

“You are a Memory” by Emma Buschle received a Platinum, Outstanding Interpretation award and Outstanding Execution award.

“Ashes” by Katy Arnold received a Platinum, Outstanding Intensity award and Outstanding Committed Movement award.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING LADIES!  You worked as a team, danced as a team and were awarded as a team!

THANK YOU Miss Jillian, Mr. Charlie, Miss Kalie, Miss Brooke and Miss Rachel for being there and supporting the dancers during the competition.

DDD also received a Backstage Good Sportsmanship Award  – This fully reflects EVERYTHING we hope to instill in our dancers.  AWESOME!
